  • Harrison Dalby holding his miniature longhaired dachshund Dickie, and a dispatched groundhog

Dickie is the epitome of what you want in a longhair dachshund. he is the perfect house dog and a beast in the field. The second we got out of the truck his on and he does not stop until we go home, no matter the weather. In his first season he flushed over 100 head of game in the snow and rain to boot. At home is happy to lay on the couch all day. I cannot day enough good things about Gamekeeper Dachshunds.

  • Conor and Python Paige Bucalo, holding hawks and a dispatched rabbit

Being from California, it was difficult to find breeders of miniature dachshund lines locally. Thankfully Aaron was willing to ship me a pup, however with RHVD running rampant and reducing our rabbit numbers significantly, I haven't been able to utilize Daphne to the extent I desired. Though, to my surprise, at the end of the season, I realized how beneficial she is in the field on quail and was able to take several with a tiercel Goshawk over her.

I bought a female dachshund from Aaron and let me tell you she does not disappoint! Great fiery attitude in the field and sweet as can be at the home with kids and family. Never been a small dog fan, but this little girl has me hooked. Love the sweet little "murder hound"! Amazing dogs for sure! You can't go wrong with getting a Gamekeeper Dachshund! Highlight recommended!

  • Kim Betcke with her mini longhaired dachshund Finn

    Kimberly Betcke

I've had the pleasure of owning a male mini dachshund from Aaron Kincaid of Gamekeeper Dachshunds. Finn is one of the hardest hunting dogs I've ever had the pleasure to hunt behind and fly over. He simply doesn't know the word "quit." This compact hunting machine doesn't blink an eye at any obstacle. He swims through flooded fields tracking rabbits in the dead of winter in Michigan. He climbs trees and show covered brush piles no matter how tall or thick. I am always in awe at the dedication Finn has to "the track". He's completely natural in his ability and his desire to hunt. Finn's ability to chill at home after a hunt makes him an all around fantastic hunting and family companion. I can't say enough about the quality of dogs that come from Gamekeeper. I hope to add a couple more to my team in the future!
